Our Story

Behind The Brand

Elliot House Escapes is a name inspired by the love of travel instilled in me by my family.

My late Grandfather (we called him Punkin) was a big traveler. He loved getting to know local culture and art and experiencing the road less traveled. He was a builder in Palm Beach, and named his properties after the ‘Houses’ at Harvard Business School. Elliot House was the name of one of his properties, and Elliot Road happens to (unrelatedly, but serendipitously) be the street name of our family’s home. Elliot House is our place to connect, and is the home that our parents created for us to always return to, for us to share memories and spend time together.

When Punkin passed away, he left a small amount of money to each of his grandchildren. He wanted us to use it for something meaningful - something we’d cherish for our whole lives, whether it be an item or experience. I used this money to buy a one-way plane ticket to Australia in the summer of 2018, which was a decision that impacted my life, the trajectory of my career and most importantly: helped to establish who I am as an individual. This was the time where I started to truly & deeply appreciate the magic and joy of travel, of getting out of my comfort zone, and of experiencing the world in all of its beauty.

Elliot House Escapes was born from the love of sharing this passion for travel, with all of you.
